Audacity has built-in crossfade effects: Crossfade clips and Crossfade tracks. Both of which will enable you to crossfade multiple tracks into a smoother transition.
To crossfade your audio from two tracks within Audacity, we’ll use the Crossfade Tracks effect. Follow these steps:
- Place two tracks across each other with a slight overlap
- Select the overlapping parts in both of the tracks
- Go to Effect->Crossfade Tracks
- Click Apply.
If necessary, you can apply the same effect twice for more fade out and fade in effect.
